Our plan to light up the hobbit hole was almost foiled by some silly Nancy Drew computer game and there were threats of mutiny when it was discovered how cold and dark it was outside, but we pushed through and wala!
Dad, you'll be relieved to know Garret had the fire extinguisher on hand and was very disappointed it was not needed.
We ended the evening with a good old fashion VHS tape of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas".
All in all it was a successful evening.
